Navigator: Instrument Training 2.1

The Navigator program offers a comprehensive instrument training solution for general aviation pilots, distinguished by its dual operational modes: Learn and Test.

In Learn mode, users engage interactively with various navigational elements on the map, including VOR stations, NDBs, and the aircraft itself. This mode allows pilots to observe how different instruments—such as VOR 1, VOR 2, ADF, and Heading Indicator—react to changes in position and orientation. Additionally, the compass arrow can be rotated to modify the map's orientation, enhancing the learning experience.

Test mode challenges users by presenting a randomly configured map. In this scenario, the objective is to accurately determine the aircraft's location based on the instruments’ readings. Users must manipulate the aircraft's position and orientation until it aligns with the indicators on the navigational instruments. Furthermore, this mode allows for setting the OBS on the VORs, adding an extra layer of complexity to the training.
